Coming out of a buzzing Mzanzi hihop market Kid Sauce is the latest rapper to come out of South Africa. His latest project Slima KaCOOL X2 (the sequel to Slima KaCool released in 2025) is a culmination of all the progress Kid Sauce has made. His sound hits harder, his lyrics are more catchy and his flows are untouchable.  Featuring Jepedoh and DaHoodHope of the Qwellers and Tallrickyworldwide of Make Boyz, Kid Sauce shows that he easily competes with some of the best of this generation.

ABOUT Kid Sauce

KiD Sauce is an exciting new voice in South African music, known for his innovative sound—Zulu Slime—a powerful blend of Trap, melodic Hip-Hop, soulful R&B, and township storytelling. Switching seamlessly between isiZulu, English, and street slang, KiD Sauce captures the experiences, emotions, and energy of black youth navigating survival and success in a rapidly changing world.

Raised in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal, KiD Sauce first found his passion on long taxi rides, inspired by the music blasting through township speakers. Influenced by artists like K.O and the Cashtime Life movement, he began rapping over popular instrumentals before developing his own lyrics and sound. With no formal studio access, he taught himself to record and mix, slowly building a brand from raw talent, consistency, and hustle.

Now based in Johannesburg, he’s performed across the country and earned praise for his explosive stage presence, lyrical depth, and genre-defying delivery. Whether it’s bass-heavy club bangers or reflective verses about cultural identity and unemployment, KiD Sauce’s music is as real as it gets—and deeply South African.
